text messaging

i had versision for a phone that this company used vtext to text message me is there something out there for sprint phones?

also is there any way to have my phone notify me when i have new email?

Forgive me if I misunderstood your question, but yes, Sprint has text messaging, I have 500/month on my phone for $8, and the other 2 phones in my family plan get 500/month for $4. If you have a share plan, most of the upgrades are half-price on the additional phones. I use almost all my text each month, as I have AIM forwarding IMs to my phone when I am offline, and my friends and I use text to chat during the day.

As far as email, I believe the phone will notify you if you are using Sprintmail, but otherwise, if your email provider offers forwarding, or notificication, you can have a copy sent to your sprintmail or sms. I check my hotmail using my phone's WAP browser. Hope this helps.
