Hey, I'm looking to sign up with Sprint (they have a great corporate discount I can get), but frankly Sprint phones don't seem quite as good as Cingular, T-mobile, and Verizon phones. I'm leaning towards the A920 or Fusic, but I'd really like a slider. I noticed this morning that the MM-A800 is on clearance, and was wondering if Sprint intends to replace it with a newer, better slider. Are there any good phones for Sprint on the horizon?

The Katana is a great looking phone with a large display, but I don't know what they were thinking with the VGA camera and no expandable memory with only 5mb internal. Depending on what you want to do with it, this might not be the right phone for you. The A800 is a pretty good phone, but as far as new phones on the horizon, I haven't been looking too much but I'll check around.

Iv been wondering this too. I have $300 in in-store credit at my local retailer (cause I tried the a900 and didnt like it). Any news on any new phones coming out around the thanksgiving/christmas time? Maybe an improved blade 2? or a Katana 2?

I think sprint and sanyo made the katana bone stock like they did for the same reason motorola made the first razr completely bare, to upgrade it later. I mean, after the origianl razr came out, then there was the v3c, then v3i(which isnt available in the US) and now the v3m. Maybe there will be a katana 2, or 1.5, or C or whatever they choose to name it.

Yes I've looked at the Katana, but it seems like a very gimmicky phone, much like the RAZR. It may look nice and sell well, but I'd take a function packed phone over it anyday(multimedia, good camera, etc). The A920 and Fusic are very nice with plenty of functions, but I'd really like a slider. I'd love to get a Samsung d600 or something along those lines. The A800 is very nice, but it's getting a little old. Plus it's on clearance and I'd like to know if they intend to replace with a new slider; I certainly hope they do.

I have the Samsung A900 for SprintPCS. It's easily one of the best multimedia phones I've ever used.
