Hi,
My contract with Sprint PCS is still more than a year to go. Unfortunately, I don't like the service. My question is if I cancel my account, then I would be charge $200.00 for early termination fee. If so, can the phone be used by my relatives after cancellation? Thanks.

Re: Help
If you cancel your phone contract and pay the 200 dollars yes your relatives can use the phone...the only way you can get outta paying the contract is if you can figure out something Sprint has changed that was in your contract when you signed that you use enough...saw the text messaging price increasing in a diff thread which is a way you can get out if you get the right rep. or if you are wanting to switch over to Nextel, Sprint will let you switch over to Nextel for free, if Sprint turns your phone off because you havent paid them then no your relatives cant use it unless you can get a complete reset of your phone...hope this helps and i worded everything correctly

Re: Help
Wait a minute! If you want to give the phone to someone else anyway, you might not have to pay the early termination fee; if they can pass a credit check Sprint will let you transfer the obligation of the contract to anyone who wants it. The charge for this is somewhere around $35, much better than the cost of an early termination. Otherwise, danotoriousnic is correct, the phone will be unusable by anyone unless the bill is paid and the account is closed satisfactorily.
