It looks like sprint raised its pay per use txt messaging rate to 15 cents per message. Fun Fun. In the wording of sprints contract there is confusion over the wording which states that the customer can be released from their contract if Sprint make a "material change" to the service.

Are txt messages a material change? According to CBS 13, out of Sacramento CA, they are. This was also confirmed by PCSIntel.com. So... if you want to get out of your Sprint contract, now is the time!

On the other hand, the $5 a month text messaging package is now 300 messages where it used to be 100, the $8 for 500 package is gone, replaced by the $10 for 1000 messages package. Unlimited text messaging remains $15 a month.
Would you like some cheese with that whine?

Came across this forum (the wonders of google) try b l i b l o | on your pc or your cellphone - sorry, can't view the international page, I'm in South Africa - but their data rates rock! And if you register with them, you can chat constantly with everyone you know and I believe it costs next to nothing. Hope this helps

Yes, you do get charged. Sucks, I know. I heard that they now give the option to add $20 unlimited texting for all of the family lines on your account. Good deal, well for sprint that is.
