Re: Hate sprint? Get out free.
All I do is talk to Sprint's Restitution Department and they solve my issues. Sometimes I get so much credit back that pays my bills and still have a couple of bucks for next bill. It's a pain to be with Sprint but I notice that a happy conversation (even though you feel like smacking them with your cellphone) will get you great help. P.S. If you keep telling them that you want out, they'll keep throwing you more credits and discounts for your dervice. Like my 5 cellies w/text&internet should cost me $180/m but with my discounts I obtained from a Restitution Rep, I only pay $125-$130/m.
Sprint: Hey, why don't you switch to our network? We're just like them...
Guy: Ummm, are you reliable?
Sprint: Excellent question!
Guy: How about for emails or downloading music?
Sprint: Why Not!?

A bit late, but as of fairly recently, if you can provide proof that you live at an address that does not have coverage, they will waive the ETF

Re: Hate sprint? Get out free.
Actually, you must prove that you have MOVED to an area without service. If there is no service in your area when you sign up, you only have the 30 days to cancel. That is where I lived when I got my first phone. NO ONE had service at or near my home. Legal issues prevented any cell towers from being put up. Go a mile and you had service. I just knew I would not be able to use my phone at home, but could when I was in the city or at work. If you keep the service after 30 days, you have agreed to accept the service as it was when you signed up.

Re: Hate sprint? Get out free.
All cell phone carriers suck. Its just a question of which one sucks less where you live

Re: Hate sprint? Get out free.
people always assume their experience is the same for everybody
"I hate xxxxx, their reception sucks"
"thats funny, I've used xxxxx for years and always have great signal"

Re: Hate sprint? Get out free.
I have had the 4 major carriers as well as virgin mobile, U.S. Cellular, and cricket. Out of the 7 cricket would have to be my fave, but since they arent available in my area (the st. louis market), and t-mobiles coverage sucks here. I decided to go back to sprint. Yes they have issues, but so do the rest of the carriers. I would rather deal with sprints than with the rest (especially verizon and cingular/ATT). Plus they gave me a great deal on a 755p treo.

Re: Hate sprint? Get out free.
I am glad to see they are doing something that will enable more people to get out of their contracts. Verizon is a MUCH better company and I recommend it over Sprint for sure.
