    Phone Finder Results (Phone Scoop)

You can select 5 phones in that list for a side-by-side comparison. Keep in mind, as with all PTT phones, the feature is only compatible with other PTT phones on the same carrier (ie sprint-to-sprint) and the PTT feature does not work when roaming.

(There is some discussion from Sprint about making Sprint and Nextel PTT cross-compatible, but I haven't heard any recent news on that and it doesn't seem to be something that will happen real soon)

it will take time because they going to get rid of the Nextel technology and use Sprint technology.

Your looking at probably at least 2011 before that happens, and that would be as soon as it would happen. If you want a good PTT, then Nextel is the only way to go. Ready Link is way too slow and not reliable. I love my Nextel blackberry and i930

There is now the Sprint Nextel Hybrid program like metioned above the ic502 is a phone with the Sprint Voice service and the Nextel 2way service. The new hybrid program is gonna change the whole wireless industry. Have fun trying to keep up now Verizon! lol.

not enough people really have the sprint PTT service to really matter. It was hot when it came out but i dont think that even lasted a year. go nextel. I have boost and I'm satisfied.

You wil have to wait until the end if the year for a PDA versin of the hybrid. There has been talk of a blackberry with ptt like the 8830 that is about to be released on sprint. It is sad but we have to wait 7 + months for the same tech to hit nextel cutomers.

the sprint "ready link" sucks, unfortunately. Its slow and only works on certain phones.

If you want to get PTT, I'd get a hybrid phone (IC502 or 402 if you really want to save 20 bucks or so)

it'll probably get better when sprint decides to put sprint and nextel on the same page with the PTT

but what's the point of owning two different companies in the same place that do the same thing that just go by a different name? Someone needs to kick the CEO of Sprint in the mansack

there's no physical way of integrating the two companies, they run different networks. iDEN and CDMA.

Sprint wanted to own nextel, so they bought it.
