I have had 2 phones for several years. Mine & my son's. because we're separated, I provided him(age 8 now) with a phone so that he could reach me anytime day or night. He will not use phone when at his mothers because it,"makes him feel sad/bad". I have since relieved him of phone so that he would not feel pressured. The downside is that I'm stuck with phone and contract that is sitting in closet unused. Would like to know if there is any bailout clause or event that would enable me to cancel his line/contract. Please advise. Thank you

I haven't done it with Sprint myself, I just bought out of the contract all together because they were overcharging the crap out of me. But with AT&T and T-Mobile, we were able to takethe other like off without payng all kinds of fees. Sprint is money hungry else where...let's hope theyre not money hungry on this too.

They are in business to make money. If you don't like sprint switch to another provider.

Sprint is a horrible company, they tortured me for years (and still do until November).

    True, true, true
If your agreement requires you to keep a phone active/maintain a line of service for a minimum term and you cancel a line of service before the term of the agreement ends, you will be responsible for a Service Agreement Termination fee. If activated before 5/21/06, cancellation will result in a charge of $150 for each line of service canceled. If activated after 5/21/06, cancellation will result in a $200 charge for each line of service canceled.
This is in black and white. No tricks...
Sprint cant be the only company like this
