Re: phone to dial ISP number? rj adapter???
I have found out that using a data cable and the Kantana II.. I cannot dial my dial up ISP to connect to the internet..
My question now is: Is there an adapter that will connect my Kantana II to the Phone Jack (rj?) on my laptop.. which would allow me to dial the 'local number' for my ISP... and connect to the internet.
(I was hoping bluetooth would allow me to do this.. but, so far I have not been able to figure out how.)
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ang

Only DUN for a phone uses USB data cable or bluetooth.
Sprints DUN is #777, and uses a data plan.If you find this post helpful, click on bottom of each post: Like l Share

Re: Workarount?? Cell phone to dial ISP number? rj adapter???
Right.. I used #777 and data cable for years with my 8100..
When I upgraded to the Kantana II.... I found out that Sprint and Sanyo have blocked this connection.. with the software... you have to pay the extra charge.. over and above the 'data' monthly charge to surf the web on your phone.
Also, Sprint says that I cannot use bluetooth and dial the isp number to connect using my plan/minutes...
I am looing for one of your guys/gals who may have found a workaround.
It was convenient to connect my computer to the internet when no other option was available.
