Too bad, carrier websites don't allow you to check in bulk through a bot or a function, but I guess that's to prevent cell phone cloning.

That would make sense. Until, then most used phone brokers would need something like CheckESN and the like to efficiently process their inventory.

Actually, Sprint has a few contracts to database companies that allow them access. These businesses have to pay for a license that allows them to use the database to check ESNs. These businesses like CheckESN and PhoneHistory mostly cater to businesses that usually have a constant flow of used phone inventory and need ways to check their ESNs. I believe Sprint is the only carrier that has such a program. It was mostly designed so Sprint would profit and at the same they would be able to free up lines at the call center since a rep wouldn't have to spend lots of time tending to callers asking them to check a hundred or so ESNs.
