At the beginning of August, I signed a new contract for second line of service on my sprint account. I have found that this is a mistake and want to be able to move to another provider for this line of service with no contract. I have 30 days to cancel the agreement if I would like.

Can port the number I got to another provider a prior to canceling the agreement so I can keep the number, then cancel the agreement with sprint. Will I be penalized for this. I know that I must return the equipment to the same store where the purchase was made, but do I have to return the number also? I can't find anything regarding this in the contract.
