Upgrade Confusion

Hello all. New guy here and searched but didn't see my answer. I have been with Sprint for a long time. I have a $150.00 upgrade and if and when the EVO is ever available, I would like to get it. But, the way I read it online, if you are a new customer, they will give you $150.00 off for buying online making the price $199.00 after rebate. If you have been with Sprint for years, they will give you the same $150.00 off that the new customer gets. I'm not quite seeing the reward/upgrade for being a long time Sprint customer. Same with Best Buy who advertise the $199.00 price. If I'm wrong, could someone fill me in? Thank you.

If you have been on contract with your current phone for 22 months you will get the upgrade $150.00 off of the new phone and will be renewing your contract another 24 months!

Don't let them charge you the upgrade activation charge, if they want to go that route suggest that you will go to Verizon and then they will send you to retentions where you get what you want because they want to keep you.
