Hello. I'm about to sign a contract with Sprint and buy the Epic 4G phone by Samsung, but I've run into an issue that I'm not sure about. The plan I'm getting for Sprint is the "Simply Everything" plan, which includes unlimited minutes, or so they say. I heard, however, that Sprint's "unlimited minutes" only applies to minutes used while on the Sprint service map, and that any minutes used outside of that map have to be paid for separately from the plan's unlimited minutes -- is this true? I would think this would be a pretty major issue if so, given that Sprint's map, from my understanding, is much smaller than AT&T's or Verizon's. Can anyone elaborate on this for me?
What I really need to know is, if I pay for the "Simply Everything" plan (which is not cheap), will that be the end of my monthly expenses with Sprint, or am I going to find a hundred unexpected charges every month from unknowingly using a cell phone in a place that wasn't on their map?
Any help with this issue will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, and have a good day!

Re: question about Sprint's service map
Simply Everything includes roaming off network But you cannot repeatedly roam over 50% of you minuits per month or else you will be disconnected.
They will warn you if you are roaming too much so to sum it up if you are using the "unlimited plan" talk 2000 min. and over 1000 are roaming there could be a problem in the offing. Have a Sprint rep explain it to you fully before you sign up.
Hope this helps!

Re: question about Sprint's service map
This very very very rarely happens. I have never once seen it happen in my time, but I know it can happen. Its unlimited and they will let you out of the contract if you are roaming too much. It basically only happens when you live in an area w/o sprint coverage. You'll be good
