Thousands of EVO users started experiencing issues with the weather widget, the sun stoped shinning, the wipers went away, and the updates didn't come through.
This was not an issue with the device or with Sprint. This was due to the weather servers for the 3rd party app.
There is a patch being pushed out to phones in batches. If you're having the issue, a master reset/factory reset will not resolve. We attempted this on 8 EVOs.
One of the test EVOs received the update, so the updates are flowing via ESN batches. You should receive the fix/patch within 72 hours. Don't call in about it, its a waste of time, it will fix itself.

Re: HTC EVO Weather app bug and fix
Evo's are always having one issue or another...not picking on HTC because I know a few others are too...but this phone is suppose to be a flagship device. little quirks like this shouldn't be happening still.

Re: HTC EVO Weather app bug and fix
Sorry, thought they would have all been updated by now, still experiencing customers that are waiting for the update. It will come, followup with some customers has shown they have mostly all received it already. Shouldnt be too much longer.
