News: Android 2.3 Gingerbread rolls out for the Sprint Kyocera Echo on Aug. 1

The Sprint Kyocera Echo, which is an Android handset with dual touchscreens, will be getting an update from Android 2.2 Froyo to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. This update will take place on August 1, which is just a few days from now.

The update will bring to the Sprint Kyocera Echo not only the Gingerbread update, but also an updated version of Swype and security patches. The update will be Over-The-Air and will take about 4 days for all the Kyocera Echos to receive this update.

Once your Kyocera Echo notifies you of the update, you will need to install it.
