From what I've seen, it's about as fast as talking to someone (cellular) that is standing next to you. So, there is about a 1-2 second delay. And yes, Ready Link is the name of their Direct Connect.

i have fun with it, and appearantly the newer phone connect much faster (ie the toshiba 4050 connects in 2-4 sec vs the sanyo which is 5-7 sec)

My 5500 connects in 2 - 4 seconds. Might be the fact I am between 3 towers, I don't know. But it never takes longer than that.

I would like to see the Toshiba connect in 2-4 seconds....That is amazingly fast for Toshiba, seeing how the 4050 does not have Ready Link!!! HAHAHA Who are you trying to fool?

Readylink allows you to group call several people and unlimited pcs to pcs calling doesnt.
If you want a Great Sprint phone go get yourself a SANYO 5600...The hotness!!!
