I have been with At&t for 10yrs and I currently have a blackberry but I'm sick of paying outrageous prices. I'm thinking of getting a straight talk phone. But I see these post that you cant connect to the internet???? What is the unlimited data for? Can I connect to the internet or not? All I wanna do is check my horoscope and the weather channel. One more question does anyone know if I can connect my email account to the phone like I have on my blackberry and my Facebook???

Re: understand straight talk data
You would not be happy with the ST data, It's like having data on a "dumb phone" or internet on training wheels. Horoscope yes, weather (dumbed down) yes - Blackberry web browser no for email and facebook extremely dumbed down.
Think of it as a regular cell phone if you ever started that way.

Re: understand straight talk data
I have a Straight Talk cellphone similar to a blackberry, is a Samsung R355c with the difference that the middle botton doesn't scroll, I said similar, not the same but what I really like is that for just $30 a month with 1000 min. talk/text/free 411 calls and 30 mb of data you can have a similar cell that saves you a lot of money. Walmart is the store that has it for now, go check it out.

You can use the Nokia E71 to tether to your computer. It's easy and fast enough. I can easily stream movies and download music however occasionally service will drop but not often enough for me to stop using it as my phone and internet provider for 45 dollars a month. I'm tethered now and loving ST
