Why are the sim cards so much on ebay? There only $7 on straight talks website but on ebay there all like $10 and up. Is there a reason for this

Re: why are straight-talk sims so much on ebay?
Yeah they stopped selling the sims on there site and stopped selling
The byop kits at walmart and that's why the prices originally went up on ebay. But now there selling both again and yet the prices on ebay have yet to adjust. I'm pretty sure they stopped selling the sims because of a dispute with at&t and T-Mobile over something to do with data. So maybe they redid the sims so its easier to control data usage? I'm obviously just guessing here

That's what I would think too. Do they know something we don't lol. Peopleare buying them up I see some off them with bids in the $20's. I'm wondering if its easier to get away with going over on Your data limit with the older cards. I say that because I had phone made for straight talk and when I hit 2.5 I could tell it was being throttled. Now I'm using a byop with the old sim (bought it off ebay when ST stopped selling them) and I don't notice the throttle and I'm at 3.8 right now. So I'm guessing with the new sim cards they have more control

It's possible that the cards, by default, tell the phone to connect to different towers for data. One could be throttled more than the other, I'm sure. In fact, this is saying that the new cards are required for any 4g data speed. So the price hike doesn't make sense at all.
