The standard HIV blood test checks for antibodies to the virus and therefore may not be accurate until 3 months after infection. If you do an HIV RNA test then your disease will definitely have a high degree of accuracy. You can relax and worry about other things if it hasn't been long enough since the questionable intercourse.
