Hmmm...the D900i is not a S60 phone. It uses the typical Samsung OS.

It's a proprietary OS created by LG.

my nokia e71x has this os.

any idea what OS the Pantech Matrix has?

Most of Nokia phones use symbian and some Samsung and SE phones also use symbian os.
And for replying viewattach09, the Matrix uses "Qualcom's Real Time Executive (REX)" as an OS. I heard this OS sucks.

How can you tell what OS a phone uses? The phone I'm wondering about is a LG220C straight talk purchased from Walmart.

I have the same question as the one who created this topic. If only Nokia phones uses Symbian then I guess this OS will be the end of it as Android and iOS are the ones used mostly by phones.
