I agree that Tmobile over charges on domestic calls. And over the past few months I have used tmobile more when overseas. I do use local providers often when I travel, but use my tmobile phone for certain people to stay in touch, because Tmobile will not forward to intl numbers. A lot of times someon will call me and I pick up and the line is dead. Yet I still get billed 2.99-3.99 for these calls. Also There are sporatic 123 voicemail charges. I do not check VM from my Tmobile phone. What should I do, I get screwed out of hundreds of dollars. Also once I used data services in Thailand to check email, and they charged me on the local call rates. What can be done? Tmobile will not do anything I am getting tired of arguing, and getting screwed. Any US providers out there take care of their customers? Been with Tmobile for well over two years spending average of $250 a month...

If you do not want to be charged for international roaming charges DO NOT turn the handset on even if you have the handset on and someone calls you and you do not answer if they leave you a voice message it will be at the international rate

Remember it’s where the handset is and you have it on out of your home coverage area with another service provider
If you’re not going to use the handset leave it at home otherwise if the handset is on connecting to that international tower you will be charged the international rate whether you answer the phone or not

Check out other service providers. T-Mobile offers the best international calling and roaming rates. As a matter of fact, most companies don't even offer international roaming. Here's a couple of suggestions...1)get your phone unlocked and use a foreign sim while traveling. Can cost a lot less. 2)If you know it's going to charge you 2.99 a minute, turn your phone off. Or just don't take it w/ you. You knew the cost beforehand. It was your choice.
