the good about t-mo is using gsm (global system for mobile) network. gsm use sim card. if you don't like t-mo anymore and you want to keep your phone, just buy the cingular sim or at&t. now you still using your phone but diff. provider. and if you want you provider but you dont want your phone anymore, just by the new gsm phone, put your sim card in it and all you info from your old phone will move to the new gsm phone that you buy. you don't stuck with your provider and to your phone on t-mobile.
spint use cdma network (code division multiple accsess) all sprint phone don't use sim card. can you imagine a phone with no sim card? it means if you sign up for two year plan you stuck with that phone and that provider for two year.
nextel is no know network. if you ask me personal! i don't like nextel. i don't like people listening on my phone conversation specially if you where in the mall.
i not very pamiliar with this provider alltel. choose gsm, thats what the whole world is using now. asia, europe, u.s. and canada.

T-mobile also offers more minutes for your money, only a 1 yr contract, nice selection of phones at reasonable prices, and of course, Catherine Zeta-Jones, but seriously, go with t-mobile, the others you're considering dont compare to them, alltell uses GSM, but its a weaker coverage area, Nextel uses iDEN which is for walkie talkie stuff, but their coverage is seriously lacking, and sprint is expensive, 2 yr contract and alright coverage, go with T-Mo all the way baby!!

i would say the same goes for t-mobile, but what you need to do is check the coverage in your area by going to a t-mobile dealer and asking for a personal coverage check, or if you wanna post your city, state and zip ill let ya know how the coverage is, i dont want you to post your address, obviously for personal reasons

your coverage in battle creek is excellent, if you head up north towards hastings and nashville then you will experience some problems, but in your immediate area youre all good with tmo, and the v180 is good, it just depends what features you want

Sprint phones do not need a sim card. All your phone book info can be stored on the web with one of Sprint's features, so if you switch phones, your info will follow you. With a sim card, if the phone is lost , damaged or stolen then your sim card is gone too. Web based is definitely smart.

The absence of a sim card DOESN'T mean you have to keep the phone or the carrier for 2 years. ALL carriers, including Tmobile and Sprint request their customers to sign up for a 1 or 2 year commitment, and Sprint has BOTH 1 and 2 year terms available, but also has month-to-month plans with no commitment term available if you want.

Sprint doesn't have Catherine ZJ , but does have Sanyo phones , rated #1 in US by JD Power & Assoc for Customer Satisfaction in 2004.

the phone only allows you to connect to t-mobiles site to PURCHASE ringers and games and such, if you get the 4.99 unlimited internet plan, then you can go to random sites and download all your ringers and cool stuff for free, so you have to weigh it out, 1.99-2.99 for ringers and games EACH, or 4.99 unlimited free stuff as long as you can find a site with them, and i know plenty

t-mo only has one year agreements, for sprint, the phone price depends on the length of your contract, so to get a good deal on a phone it requires a 2 yr. Sims have their advantages and disadvantages, as would the web based phonebook too, but the main thing you need to be concerned about is reception, and sprint is fallin behind there, oh, and if you want JD power and Assoc awards, t-mo has plenty, the most recent being - #1 '04 customer care performance, #1 '04customer satisfaction wireless retail service, '04 #1 customer satisfaction and call quality in the southeast. sprint doesnt compare, the only good thing they have going for it is their cool phones, but they still suck and sanyo phones arent good, which is probably why only sprint uses them, always stick with the big boy companies like nokia, samsung, etc
