Hi, I have the 300 text msg service. It says that it's $2.99 a month, but it seems like they charge me more for that. This is wat it said on my online bill:
    Item Amount
    Discounted Text Msg 300 1m Unl 2.99
    Enhanced Voicemail -
Partial monthly charge for Text Msg 300 1m Unl from 4/09/05 to 4/26/05 1.79
    Monthly Service Charges 4.78 .

Does ne one know where the $1.79 suddenly popped out from?

You signed up for it in the middle of a bill cycle. |Next month you'll noticed that partial monthly charge will go away.

It's a prorated charged for the 300 text messages for the part of the month that you started

Prorated, meaning they round up a buch; but not enough to get sued for overcharging...

Prorated meaning you take the total monthly charge and divide by an average of 30 days in your bill cycle, and multiple it by the number of days the service was active on your account....

    Ex. $2.99 / 30 = .099666 X 18 days = $1.794 ...

Actually rounded 4/10 of a penny down, to the smart*** who posted above me. Lovely how some people think that T-Mobile has enough employees to manually go through each and every bill looking for ways to overcharge customers.... makes me laugh.

Go to tmobile.com and there should be a way for you to log into your account with your number and a password or you may have to set up your account online but once you do that you can go into your alerts and change your alerts

This is the third month that i have unlimited txt messaging service, does ne one haf this too?
They keep on charging me 1.78 too much and this is the third time. I thought it was only 30 days unlimited.
The thing is that it doesn't bother me that i have unlimited, but if it is a mistake made by them it's cool. But I just don't want them to find out they made a mistake and than charge me for all the months i shouldn't have had unlimited messaging.

I am sure you are aware you get charged a month in advance for service as well as any extra services you ask for. You were charged a month in advance and a portion of the month you used.

Just so you know... you are charged the month after the service is used, not in advance. Ex.. Your still cycle begins on April 20th, and runs until May 19th. The charges relative to that bill cycle, would be due the following month, 3 days before your bill cycle close date. In this instance, your 4/20 -> 5/19 bill cycle, would be due 6/16 (one month after close, minus 3 days), provided there is no delay in the processing of your bill, in which case your due date would be your normal due date + the number of days it was delayed in processing. Just so you know. To me, it sounds like it was just a glitch in the system, and if they do find it, you wouldn't be billed for the time that it's happened. It's not your fault they are billing you incorrectly, so they wouldn't actually add-on charges for the time you should've paid for unlimited sms'ing, provided that you are indeed getting the service currently.... so just leave it as is, if it's working out for you. Not a bad deal, but I've never seen that happen before...
