I like Tmobile - But I switched to Tmobile after serving a one year sentence with Sprint.. SO maybe I'm not the best judge... But I don't have too many complaints.. Except that there phones simply SUCK.
I went with Tmobile because I wanted to go GSM.. and both ATT and Cingular were going through a lot of changes and my roomate who was with ATT and then signed up with cingular was unhappy with his coverage. (Which is weird because Tmobile uses Cingulars network.. and I have had no problems) Plus.. I have to admit.. T-mobiles Phone plans were better.
But what is UP with their PHONES ??? If you have to pick among their color screen phones and are not looking for a heavy duty bulky phone like the IPAQ... the only half decent phone I could find was the Sony Ericsson T610 and even that has software issues.
Cingulars phones on the other hand are simply superb. And if you goto Tmobiles UK site... You'll see they have an even better selection of phones than Cingular does.
I settled for a V300.. And after having repeated problems with dropped calls.. they just upgraded me to the V330 (btw.. Tmobile Admits that this is a design flaw with the V300.. which is why they phased it out and introduced the V330, another friend of mine was able to get a free upgrade after I told him that Tmobile admitted this to me, even though he was 9 months into his contract... so I encourage others to do the same)...
Motorola can't hold a light to Nokia.. but all their Nokias are big and bulky... and just suck...
I was wondering if anybody had any idea why T-mobile doesn't inrouduce more phones from their UK line.. After all these use GSM over there too...

Many of the handsets available in the UK are quad-band, which you don't really need in the US and some of them have EDGE (Motorola v635) but T-Mobile US doesn't have EDGE deployed yet. You'll notice also that the Motorola V3 RAZR is available from T-Mobile UK but not T-Mobile US, that is because the V3's exclusivity with Cingular is not yet up. The V3 will be available from T-Mobile US pretty soon from what I hear, however.

I recently got a Nokia 3220, with EDGE.. T-Mob store near you.. reasonable price.. although it reminds me of the red light district each time it rings.. its a flashy little beast!
EDGE technology is coming.. and so it the RAZr..

t-mobile phones are just as good as any cingular phone ive ever seen... I hate motorola phones in genreal, they seem to be the hardest to use and have the most problems
