Hey all, I'm new here, although I've been reading these forums for awhile.

I want to get cell phone service with T-Mobile, cuz they have good plan pricing and all that, but the thing holding me back is their phone selection, or lack thereof.

It seems, from what I've read on review sites and heard from word of mouth, that T-Mobile doesn't carry a good basic cell phone. They all have flaws like cramped designs, flimsy construction, or bad battery life.

So my question is, does anyone have a nice, basic T-Mobile phone that they're happy with? I don't need all those extra features like cameras or web access, but I do want a phone thats durable, both in terms of construction and battery life, and has good reception and call quality.

When I first got tmo, I chose the v300... then I switched to the samsung e315 which I liked though a little too small, btw it's free on their site right now... hope that helps...

I've been a T-mobile customer for a year and a half now and I had a little accident with my phone recently. Now I'm looking for something new. I could really care less about the camera features and stuff like that (since I never really used the camera on my old phone anyway). I just want something that's solid, has good reception and sound quality, a decent battery life, and preferably something that's not bulky (basically the same things that poolhalljunkey is looking for). Does anyone else have any suggestions for a good, simple phone?

T-mobile has Razr V3 now. This is an expensive and nice phone. But you may want to look at V330. It has everything and is better than free.

Motorola A630 is cool and has a qwerty keypad if you do a lot of text messaging, that is good.

If you want a good retailer in NJ, then PM me and i will send you the retailers contact info. He gives a much better deal than buying directly from t-mobile.

The MOT v600 is a great phone. I luv it...............UNTIL I get the RAZR that is!!!
The Samsung e315 is also good, as is the MOT v330...................but I agree that compared to other carriers, TM has the weakest selection................

I have the E105 and abosolutly LOVE it. Dont get me wrong, i would like the razr, but one of my connections from tech support at t-mobile told me that the software isnt going to be updated anytime soon (at least a year or so) and personally, i dont like the phone, its WAY to light for me. and for some reason... i dont trust the keypad... oh well, ENJOY

    LOL.

I use the RAZR V3i and like it alot.

You might want to also look at the Motorola KRZR which is a slimmer version of the RAZR and totally cool.

You guys reply to a post from 2005? the phones you mention are "old" by cell phone age. Razr is like, "ok, do I get 50 cash back or a 100 cash back"
