Unlocking Blackberry 7230
Hi guys.
I need some help.
I live in Canada, and I purchased a phone on Ebay that was locked to T-Mobile.
I spoke with them on the phone, and they don't want to give me the unlock code because I am not a customer.
So they are askingthat I become a customer for a month in order to get an unlock code.
Unfortunately, there is no T-Mobile in canada!
When speaking to Customer Care, they suggested I get someone with T-Mobile service to just call in and ask for the unlock code.
If someone is willing to help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.
You can contact me at [email protected]
Peter.

Secondly try here:

if you unknowingly bought a locked one (I dont know what you were thinking exactly if you did haha) see if you can return it if its within the sellers return policy...unlocking blackberries isnt exactly a $10 expense like unlocking a Moto V600You could definately count the number of V980 users in the US on your hand, and your looking at one
Equipment:
Motorola V980 (Unlocked) Vodafone 3G
Motorola V600 (Unlocked) ATT Wireless
Companies:
T-Mobile (USA)
Idea GSM (Poland)
O2 (UK and Ireland)
Orange (Rest of Europe)

You are correct, I do have to be a customer for that amount of days.
However, if a current customer (perhaps you), called in and said, my phone is locked, could you unlock it.. they would just give you the code.
The handsets are interchangable (GSM), so for all they know, you had that blackberry for 6months.
I even asked the Customer care representative on the phone, and she said that this would be ok.
I just have to find a user who would call in with my blackberry details, and claim it is their own.
I hope I explained it more clearly now.
Thanks for the quick reply!.

Yes that would prolly work.
Id do it for you except one catch, Ive been with T-Mobile for 6 days, probably less than you have. I was on a Cingular Family plan before that so I was mooching off my parents.
Heheh, I should think theres plenty of other T-Mobile users here that have been with them for a longer timeYou could definately count the number of V980 users in the US on your hand, and your looking at one

I appreciate the offer. Too bad you were on for only 6 days!
Hopefully someone will see my post and be willing to take 15-20 minutes to do it.
I could also offer say 15$ direct deposit to their account to compensate for their time!
I am not a customer(no T-Mobile in canada), but if I cannot find anyone to call it in, I will have to do the pay as you go for 2-3 months, and get the code that way (this is another valid way that customer care said I can get the unlock code). However it is more complex then getting a customer to call in.
This is good for anyone with a locked blackberry, or T-Mobile phone.
I wish I was in the states, I would know someone on that network for sure, and would have had it unlocked already.

T Mobile Unlocking
I suggest that you call the office of the president of t mobile. With enough persistance you will get results. I had to to that for the replacement of a phone once. T mobile says they have the best customer service but that is suspect. Email me if you are successful. [email protected]
