hi all. i am switching to t-mobile prepaid in the fall and im going to be getting an unlocked phone and a t-mobile prepaid SIM card off ebay since i really dont like any of the prepaid packages that t-mobile has. anyways, those SIM cards off ebay come preactivated and i really dont want to keep the number, so my question is, if i just let one of those SIM cards expire and it loses it's number, can i reactivate with that same SIM card and will it cost me anything to reactivate?

If you buy the SIM card for TMO2GO off EBAY, they usually come with a piece of paper that has the owners Birthday (prolly made up) and that is all you need to change the number over to a local number for you. TMO2GO is very,, VERY LAX on their TMO2GO accts. Unless the Acct has a intentional Security Code in place, all you normally do is say
'I wish to get a local number and please place the SIM in my name, address etc' (Not even needed if you wish to be secretive).
Now, should you let a TMO2GO SIM EXPIRE within the expiration period, you have 90 days in which to top it off. If you do not, then the SIM will be terminated along with the acct, and you will need to start completely over from scratch.

A very good reference for TMO2GO is located HEREand look at the TMO2GO area of the forum.
