I just upgraded to the RAZR through T-mobile, and wanted to assign specific ring tones to individuals in my phone book. The RAZR manual says "Ringer ID option is not available for entries stored on SIM card." How can I store contacts NOT on the SIM card so I can use this feature? I tried looking online and on this site and couldn't find anything. I am cell -phone challenged, if you have an answer for me, please be gentle.
Thanks,
Kristy

shopsalott,
To move a contact from your SIM card to the PHONE memory:
-Go into your contacts/phonebook
-Select the contact you want
-Select "EDIT" (you may have to press menu first, the 3 stripes button)
-Go down to the option that says "Store To"
-Select "CHANGE"
-Select "PHONE"
-Select "BACK"
-Now you should see a whole bunch of other options available
-Scroll to "RINGER ID"
-Select "CHANGE"
-Select the Ringer ID you want
-Press "DONE" to make sure all the changes are saved
It is very important that you press "DONE" once you have finished, or else you have wasted your time and will have to do everything all over again.Last edited by T-RODRIG30; 01-25-2006 at 10:23 AM.

Well, you can copy more than one entry to the phone at a time which should be easier. When you go into your phonebook press the menu key, then scroll down and select copy, select entries. Then you can choose which entries out of your whole phonebook that you would like to use Ringer IDs with.

cseabourn, thanks for pointing that out. I was used to showing people how to do one at a time but will tell them your method now too.
THANKS!
