Hi - total noob to US Cell phones (we call them mobiles back home in Aus) - so I have a pre paid Nokia something or other with T-mobile as it suits my lifestyle the best, limited use etc.

However - the Razr looks cool and I was thinking of getting one, BUT I'd like to stay on the pre paid. Now, back home we'd simply switch the Sim card....but is that even possible with the Razr as I know some phones here are intergrated with the sim etc.

    ANY advice would be awesome!!

    d chrome,

Your T-Mobile Nokia pre-pay phone also has a sim card. You can switch the sim card to a moto razr without any trouble. All you need to do is purchase a moto razr for T-Mobile. Like the above post says, you can also buy an unlocked razr.

D- Tmobile is offering buy one razor, get one free. IF im not mistaken. BUT it could be only around here in Boston, MA. I will try to get u some details and PM them to u, or actually, ill post it on here so everyone can see, incase someone else is interested. To answer ur question, RR is right, u can just switch the sim card and u should be allset. RR would know better than i, cause he is a rep. =)

The RAZR buy one get one free promo is definately going on

Activation of 2 lines with minimum one year agreement is required.

First Razr is $200 - $50 Mail in rebate.
Second Razr is $50 - $50 mail in rebate.
Final price = $150, which is an unbelievable deal for 2 razr's.

2 year contracts are going to start being offered by T-Mobile. You will still be able to select a one year contract. More details as soon as the 2 year contracts are rolled out.

lol i know nic, but i like to just like to keep my options open! =) i was considering upgrading my sanyo 9000 for a ppc 6700, but considering im already a customer and the price would be 600 dollars, i think ill stick with my 9000. I really do want to get the 6700 though! Seriously, i have a severe phone problem, i always have, its only gotten worse over the years. Especially now that i am 23 and have my OWN credit and can put phones in MY name, meaning i can do and get whatever I want, without having to go through my mother, and listening to her lechture and reasons i shouldnt get a phone, or 2, or 3 lol.. I did a search in the sprint forum for the 6700 and no one has writtin too much about it except the fact that its expensive and has slight problems. but hey, dont all phones have a problem here and there?! hehe..

T-Mobile does offer second free Razor phone, it does not offer to new customer To Go, and To Go customer wil have to pay at full retail price of 249.99 for prepaid service. I do believe theres 50.00 mail rebate still exist from T-Mobile on any purchase new prepay service with prepay phones.

    PS

As long you're within T-Mobile coverage area and it wouldnt work in T-Mobile's partners (Roaming Coverages). It can purchase anywhere in store or T-Mobile store that sell T-Mobile To Go Starter Kits gives you 15.00 prepaid card, and new activation included. Activation line will almost imediamately get to use within few minutes to few hours.

International call wouldnt apply US rate minute at .15 cent per minute on most prepaid card except 100.00 card gives you .10 cent per minute with gold reward add bonus minutes every card you add more funds with one year expire date. International calls should show rate chart list on T-Mobile site, and also more information about T-Mobile To Go Prepaid Service at www.t-mobile.com/prepaid or www.t-mobile.com click plan, click pay as go, and you are there.

    Razor is nice phone...
