how much would the sidekick 3 unlimited data plan cost per month in the boston area??? i keep hearing 20$ and 30$, which one is it???

It's $20 a month, called the Sidekick Unlimited plan.

haydeno is right...if you already have a calling plan, then the sidekick plan is just $20 additional per month. If you plan to just use the phone as email, web, data device without a voice package it will be $30 a month
