But your responses to me, which have been hostile from the beginning, are masking the problem of T-Mobile's unethical business practices and engaging a war of words with me that you'll never win. As you've acknowledged personally experiencing frustrating episodes with T-Mobile, I fail to understand why you insist on defending the company so doggedly rather than helping to pressure them into treating customers with honesty and providing better service.

Out of context? LOL. That's hillarious.

My "frustrating" experiences have been the kinds of things anyone could run into doing business with any company. And never did I ever consider going ape on a cell phone forum website writing crazy posts because I did not bother to read the directions at a website.

You've milked this thing to death. Your "grievances" are kooky and I'm done with you. Do keep us posted on the developments with the BBB. We all need a good laugh from time to time. LOL.

If I understand you correctly, you think that when a company's website text conflicts with what one is told by an employee of the company, one should believe the website text, not the employee. It's a rational argument, but a cynical and pessimistic one.

Right from the start, your statements have been mainly value judgments and stupidity. The "fan" part of your pseudo (wirelessfan), etymologically speaking, is short for fanatic... something you may actually be. As to the LOL, I guess you must be looking in the mirror and thinking what you see isn't you.

you made a mistake, just walk it off, pay the money, and let the financial scar be a reminder for the future to read things and confirm things are true rather than making assumptions based on what a random person may have said. People make mistakes, the phone person made one and you made one by not confirming things. I do not care how busy you are, if I worked for T-Mobile and right now I told you if you select to insure your hand set within the next 3 days I will give you 1 month of free service that wouldn't make it true.

Things that are in writing are valid proof, word of mouth is not. For all we know you could have just misunderstood or heard the phone rep wrong, or maybe never even spoke to them at all.

I take your point. But as I've never had this type of "misunderstanding" that went unremedied before, I intend to pursue my efforts. I've received preliminary responses from both T-Mobile and the BBB, and hope we can reach an amicable agreement. Regardless, I'm stuck with T-Mobile for another year because of the upgrade as I prefer to avoid their $200 early cancellation fee. But something tells me that a year from now I'll be using a different service provider.

Hey Aaron. I put this guy on ignore. He's not here to engage in serious dialogue about cell phones. He's just looking for attention. He claims he made a mistake and now expects TMo, the BBB, the FBI, the CIA, the president and anyone else he can rope in to pay attention to him. He's just a waste of time.

My advise is to go to your user profile and put him on your ignore list. He really doesn't have anything constructive to add here.

Forgot your Thorazine again today, it seems. Maybe your shrink should upgrade you to Clozamil and electroshock instead before someone carts you away to a state hospital.

That's an excellent idea and I thank you for posting it. I think my grievances vis-à-vis T-Mobile are justified; otherwise I'd never have sought and found this forum, joined it, or posted anything on it. I fail to see why my initial post provoked anyone and felt little appreciation for the aggression it encountered. I was seeking support rather than a fight.

FYI, I've spent more than 10 years in international sales and consulting in telecoms BSS/OSS. I have a fairly good idea of best practice in telecoms CRM and business ethics. In fact my focus has always been on best practice. I help clients eat competitors' lunches through cost-efficient service excellence, with special focus on billing, CRM, order management and end-to-end online customer self-care including EBPP. I've had the honor to work with outstanding T-Mobile people in Germany, and see no reason to expect any less here than I know T-Mobile delivers to its European subscribers... though I acknowledge that viewing subscribers as "paying machines" may be more prevalent at some service providers on this side of the Atlantic.

In any case, I'm really pleased to report that the BBB has been supportive and helpful to me so far, and that I've also received somewhat encouraging feedback from T-Mobile. Mistakes happen and can sometimes be corrected. I hope T-Mobile corrects what I perceive to be a mistake affecting me. But parties to a contract may also disagree and decide to fight it out, a situation I prefer to avoid but will not flee.

Thank you again for your measured intervention.

    Re: Ripped off by T-Mobile

My guess is your college educated and spent alot of time reading books upon books upon books, but didn't spent the 2 minutes it would have took to read the fine print in a contract. You yourself said you needed time to refect on the financial endevor and then contridited yourself by saying you have no time to look over your minutes, your back peddling and all your books smarts doesn't make up for having no common sense, contracts have fine print for a reason and being that you have more than 10 yrs in international sales you should know this. Btw you can pick apart my *****ing and my run on sentences all you want but at the end of the day 9 out of 10 peolple would have read the fine print and saved themselves 3 days of writing bbb and ranting about a topic that nobody shares your point of view on.

Ain't that the truth. Can't read the terms on a website and wants the BBB to litigate this with the Supreme Court. LOL. Total sillyness. The BBB won't waste 30 seconds on this matter despite any frivilious claims to the contrary.

He's not going to pick apart anything. The mods have given him a warning. If he keeps up the insults, he's likely to find himself banned and his account restricted. Andy Warhol said that everyone should be famous for 15 minutes. Our friend from New York has had his 15 minutes. I suggest we all let this thread die a long over due death by just ending any further contribution to it. I've put the chap on ignore and might suggest the same for anyone serious about spending their time here on serious topics rather than sillyness. This guy isn't worth the time.

[QUOTE=camstufSomeone wants a billing error corrected, whats that got to do with this forum anyway???[/QUOTE] If service providers' resistence to correcting billing errors has nothing to do with a cell phone forum, I'd like to know what does... singing the praises of the providers and chatter about nifty new features? It seems I knocked on the wrong door. Sorry to have wasted my time.
