Re: Ripped off by T-Mobile
you made a mistake, just walk it off, pay the money, and let the financial scar be a reminder for the future to read things and confirm things are true rather than making assumptions based on what a random person may have said. People make mistakes, the phone person made one and you made one by not confirming things. I do not care how busy you are, if I worked for T-Mobile and right now I told you if you select to insure your hand set within the next 3 days I will give you 1 month of free service that wouldn't make it true.
Things that are in writing are valid proof, word of mouth is not. For all we know you could have just misunderstood or heard the phone rep wrong, or maybe never even spoke to them at all.

I've had the honor to work with outstanding T-Mobile people in Germany, and see no reason to expect any less here than I know T-Mobile delivers to its European subscribers... though I acknowledge that viewing subscribers as "paying machines" may be more prevalent at some service providers on this side of the Atlantic.
In any case, I'm really pleased to report that the BBB has been supportive and helpful to me so far, and that I've also received somewhat encouraging feedback from T-Mobile. Mistakes happen and can sometimes be corrected. I hope T-Mobile corrects what I perceive to be a mistake affecting me. But parties to a contract may also disagree and decide to fight it out, a situation I prefer to avoid but will not flee.
Thank you again for your measured intervention.

Re: Ripped off by T-Mobile
My guess is your college educated and spent alot of time reading books upon books upon books, but didn't spent the 2 minutes it would have took to read the fine print in a contract. You yourself said you needed time to refect on the financial endevor and then contridited yourself by saying you have no time to look over your minutes, your back peddling and all your books smarts doesn't make up for having no common sense, contracts have fine print for a reason and being that you have more than 10 yrs in international sales you should know this. Btw you can pick apart my *****ing and my run on sentences all you want but at the end of the day 9 out of 10 peolple would have read the fine print and saved themselves 3 days of writing bbb and ranting about a topic that nobody shares your point of view on.

[QUOTE=camstufSomeone wants a billing error corrected, whats that got to do with this forum anyway???[/QUOTE] If service providers' resistence to correcting billing errors has nothing to do with a cell phone forum, I'd like to know what does... singing the praises of the providers and chatter about nifty new features? It seems I knocked on the wrong door. Sorry to have wasted my time.
