Hey guys this is my first post here! haha. Well I just went to mytmobile.com and on my homepage was a news thing saying that the text message rates are going up at the end of August. Since tmobile is raising the price im I allowed to terminate my contract with no EarlyTerminationFee? I have 400 messages a month plan but if i go over by one text the price change will effect me right? can someone shine some light on this for me?

the increase is from 15 cents to 20 cents. call tmobile and ask them to cancel the plan. they will not charge you the termination fee, guaranteed. I spoke to a rep about that today and she said you are correct, as you have the right of refusal to increments, therefore you may get out of the contract.

Yep It works, my son just called and got out of his contract. still had to pay for the phone but not obligated for the remainder of 2 yr agreement.

Wow I didn't know it worked like that! So it doesn't matter how long you've been in a contract with them? And after I cancel can I get a new contract with them, or do I have to wait awhile? I really want a deal on another phone, but as we all know only newbies get those

i believe they keep your account active for 30 or 90 days. in which you can reactivate it or go for a whole new contract.

I have unlimited texting for families and have been trying to figure out how to cancel cheaper/free. Would this change help me do that too?
