If I were to buy a t-mobile sim card at a store, would I be able to activate a prepaid pay as you go plan onto that card? Could I then slip it into an unlocked blackberry curve GSM cell phone? Also, how does a refill card for minutes work? Thanks.

Re: T-Mobile pay as you go/SIM card help
If the BB is unlocked I don't see any issues with using a T-Mo prepaid sim in that phone... The only thing I can think that might be a conflict is you might not have all the BB functionality (BIS, email) because I don't think there is data on T-Mo prepaid plans-- just T-Zones.
Sorry, forgot to mention in the above post, but I meant that you shouldn't have any issues with phone and sms text.Last edited by lmouskouri; 04-03-2009 at 02:26 PM. Reason: Auto-merged Double post

Re: T-Mobile pay as you go/SIM card help
Got a TMobile simcard for my Droid HTC Nexus One and it works great! Have been making many calls, posting pics and communicating via Facebook and using internet to find local sights!!!
Just make sure that when you purchase, calling is enabled. We had to go back because they enabled "Broadband only" the first time around and the second, they hadn't enabled our "deal" and we were being charged full price on calls. My husband called T-Mobile UK and they straightened it all out!

Re: T-Mobile pay as you go/SIM card help
You could buy prepaid sim cards on T-Mobile.com for $6.95 and they will mail it to you by FEDEX for FREE. I tried several unlocked phones with T-Mobile prepaid and they all work out fine. Currently on unlocked iPhone. For prepaid refill, try CallRefill - Shop . They currently have promotion on T-mobile prepaid refill and it's only $90 for$100 worth of minutes.
