Hello all,
My T-mobile contract is up next week and I'm not too sure as to what will happen when it does.
Will my phone number still be available if I want to switch to a new carrier (still haven't decided what I want to do yet)? Can I still use the phone, but be billed on a month-to-month basis? I was informed that if I switch to a new carrier the day after the contract was up, I wouldn't have to pay an early termination fee but I would still have number because the account would still be active.
Thanks,
YR

Re: T-mobile Contract Question!
If you continue service without signing another agreement, you will be on a month to month basis.
As long as the account remains active in some way...you can still port out.

Re: T-mobile Contract Question!
I second that. Just one suggestion: if you decide to stay with them you might try to negotiate a better deal on the phone and/or plan in exchange for signing another contract. A lot of companies are willing to give customers something extra because it is much easier to keep the current customer than find a new one. Does not hurt to try.
