I am planning to go on a trip overseas to Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand but I need to receive calls via my U.S number. I have the Motorola CLIQ phone so I know it has international roaming capabilities. I tried looking at international roaming rates for T-Mobile and they were expensive! It was about $2.29 a minute!
I am wondering if there is any way I can set up something in which I can use the local number in the country I am in and when calls are made to my U.S number, it would be transferred to the local number and hopefully cost less.
I would appreciate any resource or feedback!
Thanks!

Re: Receive calls via my U.S number if I use a Local Number overseas?
i went to France for 10 days,to visit my sister , this past summer , this is what worked for me like a charm.
My US cell number forwarded to Google voice or to Magicjack or to both .
US# ---> GV ---> MJ
MJ connected to my laptop with a cordless phone . I didn't miss a single call.
