I remember looking at the t-mobile, sim only contracts about a month ago, and was planning on buying one as they were cheaper each month than a contract with a cell phone.
Today I look on the site, and the Sim only contracts are the same price as the contracts that come with a phone. This doesn't make much sense because they have free phones on there. Why would anyone in their right mind, buy a sim only contract when there's a free phone available at the same price.
I'm really annoyed now because I went out and bought an iphone so I could get this cheap contract, and now this.

It sounds like they were running a promotion and that promotion is over. But you're right it doesn't make any sense if you can get a phone for free. Even if you already have a phone you could sell the free one and keep the sim to use in another phone. (I assume that could be done)
