Assurion Cell Phone Insurance is a Scam

The Assurion Cell Phones insurance is a total scam. Paid $5 p/month for 2 years. Phone broke, their customer service process was very slow and difficult. (Submittion of claims and proofs of purchase via FAX only) After months of wasted time trying to send the forms vias fax, they honored the claim, but replaced the phone, an HTC but not before I paid a $130 deductible and shipping charge. My advice, DO NOT GET CELL PHONE INSURANCE UNLESS YOUR DEVICE COSTS MORE THAN $1000.00. This is a total ripoff.

Unfortunately it's how they make money. There are other cell phone insurance plans out there luckily.
