Here in Denver, T-Mobile has rolled out an extensive and ever-growing 3G network, but I'm already striving for faster speeds.

I've heard rumors that Las Vegas has 4G service for T-Mobile iPhone users- is this true?

Anyone else receiving 4G service on their iPhones with T-Mobile?

Are you referring to 4g LTE or 4g HSPA+ ?

HSPA+, T-Mobile doesn't have/associate with LTE, to my understanding. I was just mostly curious what speeds T-Mobile iPhone users were getting around the U.S.

I'm getting around 5-8 Mbps download and 2-4 Mbps upload speeds. Have yet to see the 4G symbol pop up on my iPhone 4S in Denver.

Is it real LTE though? I thought Verizon was the only one to technically have real LTE and not "4G LTE." I think even Verizon has yet to fully advance their LTE network since it is uses so much energy on cell phones. I believe they just have a baby LTE network compared to what they have planned. I remember reading somewhere about it, but it has been at least a year. I think also Verizon was probably forced to push at least some kind of "4G" network in order to compete. As far as AT&T goes and T-Mobile, I believe they are just using the term LTE so that people don't get confused with their 4G speeds.

I wouldn't quote me on it though

It's real, yep: T-Mobile 4G LTE launching in Las Vegas next week with Galaxy S III support | Android Community

Verizon was the first to have LTE (and is now very widespread), followed by AT&T (I actually just got a card in the mail saying AT&T 4g LTE was in my area), and now T-mobile. Apparently T-mobile got some LTE spectrum from AT&T when that buyout deal fell through. "4g" and "4g LTE" are two completely different data networks.

I didn't know Denver was iPhone friendly with T-Mobile. Do you have any idea how extensive the Colorado iPhone coverage is? I thought it was stuck on 2g here.

    What plan are you using?
