Is T-zone worth getting - was wondering how its performance was and how fast one can use up the 1 mb limit for the $2.99 plan?? With the ability to upload new games/ringtones via my laptop, I am not sure if I would ever really use it other than to look up movie times ;p. I doubt I could use it to read my university based web email?

Well if you have a data cable then don't get it; just get 500 text messages (works w/ AIM if your phone has it) for the same price ($2.99) and it helps a bunch, even notifies you of voice mail if you want. However T-Zones performs quite well especially in hi reception places, I guess, it will on average be under 8 seconds per page ^_^

just bought the nokia 6610 and added t-zones $2.99 package. I am happy with it so far... although it was advertised as having "full color screen saver" which turned out to be a digital clock with no choice of changeing to anything else as far as I can see. other than that it is all it was said to be.

Yeah, my friends have T-zone and I'm just about to get it. Wish I had signed up for it when I got my phone.

I think T-Zone is somewhat limited, they may want to expand the possibilities in how much you can download etc. A friend of mine has it, I'm not impressed....

I didn't even realize until just now that I was even paying for t-zone, I don't really like it all that much, not too useful.

I use it everyday. I have the $9.99 unlimited one. It can be used to connect my pda to the internet, i sms all the time, and you can't send pictures without it (well that fast anyway).

$2.99 Deal is worth it if you don't use it much, but if you don't use it much why bother. It's really worth it if you can find free stuff to download.
$9.99 Unlimited deal is worth it if you send pictures, which my phone doesn't have a camera on it anyway.

if you want the internet access, then you should get tzones. if all you want is wallpaper and ringtones, then you're better off just getting a data cable for your phone. this way, you can have unlimited downloads.

Right now, if you sign up for T-zones, the first 30 days are free. Try it out and see how you like it. The $2.99 was worth it just to check out the baseball scores this month. Also useful to find a movie time or a restaurant. According to T-Mobile the 1mb is good for up to 500 web pages or sending about 50 pictures.
