For anyone who is on City Fido you have probably noticed since the Rogers network switch (at least in Vancouver) that you can often not make or receive calls (I have tested several phones and no difference) even with 5 bars. This last weekend has been horrible even as of this morning and the service is basically useless.

When I first reported it they tried to get us to switch plans and mentioned the issues were only for City Fido users, the last two times they tried to blame the phone and refused to help me even though I personally know many others with the exact same network issues!

If you have the exact same problem. It is not your phone! I am in Vancouver and since the Rogers network things have been even worse (City Fido). This last weekend I haven't been able to receive or make calls and calls are usually dropped within 30 seconds even with 5 bars and this can be at 1AM or 6AM.

I am on City Fido and I am sure they are purposely trying to force us off this plan by making sure they network is completely unusable. Fight back by telling your friends, have them post on forums and do what I did and complain to any agency you can.

Make your complaint heard and don't let anyone persaude you it is useless or that its a waste of time because it is not. Anyone telling you otherwise is obviously a Fido/Rogers employeee Smile

Complain to the CRTC (even though they don't regulate Cellular), complain to the BBB and most importantly screw them by letting the Competition Bureau know. I suggest you type one letter detailing your problems and in my case Fido's refusal to admit it, compensate or fix the issue after over 2 months.

Take a few minutes and lets repay Fido for their worthless service by complaining where it counts!
Competition Bureau On-line compaint (this will really screw them if they get enough complaints)
