Re: Telus Finally has the Nokia 6265i

From Quicktime you can go to file/export. From there you can choose which format to export to. Choose movie to 3G and then click options. Set the file format to 3GPP2. As I said earlier quicktime pro might be necessary but if you already have it like I did it works great. Also it might be the only option for mac users.

I think you can probably use .avi format as long as it isn't for a ringtone. Now if you want to set the .3g2 file for all of your contacts you just need to locate the movie and go to options. From there go down to "use tone". That should apply to all contacts.

Just download a 3gp converter like ImTOO and convert your mp3s to 3gp files. You can use then as 'videos' that play when someone calls. It just plays the music encoded from the mp3 without any video obviously. This gets around the whole modification of your phone/voiding warranties.

try Mininova : The ultimate BitTorrent source! for a torrent of IMtoo 3gp video converter

    Adios,
    Vista

Re: Telus Finally has the Nokia 6265i

Having just purchased the new nokia 6265i I find the phone very nice, the bluetooth works very well with my motorolo H300 earpiece.
I do however find the screen hard to see in sunlight, and the earpiece volume a little low when talking on the outside street corner.
Was wondering how unlocking the phone helps me, and what does it do to system setting if I choose to unlock the phone, any recommended software to do this.
    please email.
    thanks

    Eklizia:
It's not possible to use a telus phone on the fido network. Telus uses CDMA and Fido uses GSM.
