I keep getting these stupid web browsing charges on my phone, I have NO idea where they are coming from...I have 2500 texts/month which includes photos, and for some reason I keep getting the charge "proxy:mmsc ". I do not go on the internet at ALL because I know it will eat up all the money on my phone (I'm on pay as you go with TELUS)...anyone have any idea if this is a bug or can tell me what is causing the charges?
I got charges for the same thing hours after my phone battery had actually died...so I know for SURE I wasn't using the phone.
My phone isn't flip but it is already on keyboard lock so I can't accidentally hit the web browse thing.
I never go on IM or email.
On my transaction history, it shows "photo message" with a charge of $0.00, as well as the additional unknown charges. The photos/videos are included with my unlimited

Re: Random Charges...
Have you tried calling Telus to find out what the charges are? 1-866-558-2273.

Re: Random Charges...
Yes, I called them two days ago. They told me that the proxy:mmsc charge was for "browsing for music" ...which I have never done. Even if I had accidentally hit the button on my phone, I would immediately close it before it could show me any web pages. At maximum, this has MAYBE happened once or twice, and not at all recently. So it baffles my mind how there is over $20 in charges for this when I've never actually done it...they refunded me $1.30. THAT WAS ALL. I plan on calling again but I have no idea how to prove that I didn't actually do it!

Re: Random Charges...
Before I say this, understand I have no idea about TELUS or anything to do with them.
Would it be feasable for you to say go into the reail store and ask them about it, have them check your phone, and help you get rid of the charges?
If not, maybe try the old "I'm gonna cancel because this isn't right" speech? Not sure if you want to switch anyways, but always an option..

Re: Random Charges...
A retail store has less access to billing than the call in customer service reps. I can tell you that even hitting the wrong button in your handset and accessing mobile music could charge you or evn subscribe you to the service, then you keep getting billed. My suggestion is to ask for "Block Download Fun" this should stop the charges from occuring
