Ordered a phone through Telus, received 2, want to sell other?

Hi everyone,
I bought an HTC Desire from Telus last month when they first came out. I ordered online, the three year contract, and when I received my phone in the mail... there were two of them. I haven't been charged for the second, and I'm not sure why I received the second, but it's there.
Anyway, I went ahead and called Telus to let them know about the problem. After having a few representatives that just said "well mail it back" (um, no, not with my own money, I didn't ask for this second phone!) I finally had somebody tell me they would mail me a box to return the phone in. I activated the other phone and have been using that one just fine now.
However, I haven't received a box for the second phone, and after calling a few times about the problem, Telus really doesn't seem to care too much about whether they get their phone back or not. The Desire is still sitting in my office in its box.
I was thinking about selling the phone, but I was wondering what exactly would happen if I tried to do that? If they don't have a record of selling it in the first place do they report the phone as stolen? Is there a difference between a phone with a contract and one without (i.e. can I sell this at close to full price or will Telus tell the person I sell it to that they need a contract with that particular phone)?
I'm going to give Telus one last hurrah where I will explain that I'll get rid of the phone if they don't come and get it, but I'm not expecting anything there, and obviously I can't ask a Telus representative about how to sell a phone I shouldn't technically be in possession of.

Lol i would have sold the phone ages ago. I would have only phoned them once, if they don't care then i don't see why you should.

Haha well my concern is I don't want to screw over the person I sell it to if they try to activate their phone and that gets red flagged or something with TELUS and they get in trouble...

I doubt it will, put it on eBay?

..Like when they call to activate it the phone's sim card will probably pop up as "supposed to be in a warehouse somewhere" and the rep will be like wtf?
