I see that Vodafone is now officiall offering what they call the
"Motorola SLVR Black", has anybody ordered this phone? Is there a
model number given on the packaging?
Vodafone doesn't specify which SLVR model this is, or whether the MP3
functionality is basic playback from TransFlash or the rumored iTunes
integration.
A review of the production SLVR phone would be greatly appreciated.

The Motorola E1 ROKR is THE ONE with iPod / iTunes facility, also includes a
1.3Mp zoom camera.
(It just so happens I have two brand new boxed, unlocked and unbranded for
sale)

Read variously that the SLVR *may* also have iTunes, along with some other
upcoming Motorolas - See http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000323065935/.
I am quite interested in seeing the final version of this phone, as I liked
the RAZR but not keen on clamshell phones. But have been waiting for what
seems an age for it to be released, and have seen various specs and model
numbers without specifics for market - L6, L7, V7, V8, and a couple of
others.

L6 - Silver with no expansion slot
L7 - Black with expansion slot.

Cheers,

Re: Motorola SLVR?
I'm starting to see more of the Vodafone-locked L7 models pop up on
eBay, can anybody comment on how good or bad Vodafone is regarding
unlocking?
Many of the auctions promise a "subsidy code" via email after the
transaction is complete. Is this a scam?
Thanks,
Kevin
