    Purchased a Kingston 512 meg RS-MMC memory card

    No : MMCRS/512 ( 3.3v )

    I fitted it in my Nokia 6680 but isnt recognised ...

    Have i purchased the wrong card ..?

    Anyone ..?

    yes, it needed to be dual voltage 1.8v/3.3v, sorry.

    Yep, the Nokias take DV cards only. Also, as I posted to another group
    regarding memory for a 6680:

    "It's worth making sure <that you get an MMCmobile memory card> - which runs
    at up to 52 MB/s - and not Reduced Size MMC Dual Voltage (RS-MMC DV) which
    can be as slow as 2.5MB/s. Also check you get an adapter with it so it can
    be used in an SD card reader or another SD device. This is just a bit of
    plastic that clips onto the back, not a pin adapter, but you need it to fish
    the card out of a normal SD slot."
