A little research tells me the 600e is only available on Orange and is only
Tri-Band whereas the 600 is available on O2, Voda and T-Mob and is
Quad-band. I'm not sure what the differences are between the 2, but it
would be for use on Voda so am i better off with the D600?

Very strange it's only tri-band, sometimes samsung phones have a menu option
to 'enable quad-band' or 'enable tri-band' (obvioulsy on this phone, it
would the former if at all...)
Be safe, avoid orange's **** customisation of the software on the phone, and
go for the D600 :-)

The D600e is the Orange version of the D600, and is identical in every way,
apart from the fact that Orange have included some backgrounds and
homescreen customisation on the phone.

The 'e' model supports EDGE data transfer (> speeds than GPRS); the
other model does not. That said, there are very few masts, and only on
Orange, that support EDGE.

Orange UK do not support EDGE, infact, it was never implemented by any of
the UK networks.

The masts around Chichester and Lavant certainly support EDGE. If you
don't believe me, go try it!
