Bought a Cable and Wireless Bluetooth dongle today to sync my 6230i with
Outlook on my Pc and had no end of problems. Basically the dongle came
bundled with software called Blue Soleil and I have done everything I can to
connect and sync. PC suite tells me that neither the software or Microsoft
BT applications will work. The software ses the phone and I can transfer
files but I cannot bloody sync. Both devices discoverable, paired but it
won't work.
I uninstalled the s/ware and tried to let Windows SP2 do its thing but still
no joy.
Any ideas?
Alternatively any recommendations for a (cheap) BT dongle that will install
on XP without software and is recognised by PC Suite?
Thanks
Paul

I got the cheapest Bluetooth adaptor I could find (Ebuyer value), which came
with BlueSoleil and syncs with Outlook with no problem.

By PC Suite do you mean the Nokia software? (I don't have a Nokia so I'm not
familiar with it). I've you're trying to use this to sync via Bluetooth you
might be doing it wrong. BlueSoleil has its own synchronisation feature that
handles all the negotiation between the phone and Outlook. Double-click on
your phone in the BlueSoleil window then click on the syncronisation icon at
the top of the window (it's two boxes with arrows).

I do mean PC Suite but, having looked at the Blue Soleil software I can't
find the icon you mean? What is the dialogue box that is displayed when you
choose the icon? There isn't one that says 'synchronisation' and in fact
only a few of theboxes are enabled. The nearest I can find os 'information
exchange' which is 'not enabled' - how do I enable it?

you haven't got the dongle plugged into a USB hub by any chance.........this
can cause problems. Some need to be plugged direct into a MoBo port.

If you have a personal firewall, try disabling it.
