It's also off topic for uk.telecom.voip. Please follow the corresponding
thread in uk.telecom.mobile form now on, thanks.

    Your choice.

    >collapsed, for example.

So it is urgent. Pay. Or wait till he gets home. Your choice. Why
should he pay for "urgent" dripping tap calls?

I have an 0800 number delivering to my mobile, and I can divert a
landline number via VOIP to it. I choose not to use either.

The option is there. You can have an 0870 or 0845 or 0800 terminating
at your mobile at your cost, or you can divert a VOIP number. Just do
    it.

Yeah, some UK networks charge for voicemail retrieval, mine doesn't.

I have repeatedly asked that people do not do this, if you read my earlier
posts. It was I who originally crossposted to uk.t.m but people aren't
removing uk.t.v from the headers when replying. I forgot to do so, I'm
    sorry.

    Please don't shout..!

But I can't have incoming calls taken from my inclusive minutes or PAYG
credit, which is what I want, along with a normal geographic phone number.

Having spent 11 years in the US, and still there a lot (I'm just back) I
know what mobile pricing system delivers best value and convenience to
me, and it sure as hell isn't the US one.

Like you, David, I spend a fair amount of time in both the UK and the US,
and I agree with your assessment.

It wouldn't be worth their effort for just odd 1 or 2 people who want it.
