Not receiving all texts being sent to my Orange Treo 650

I've got Orange on the case (but no resolution yet) about my texts
going missing. About 1 in 3 texts being sent to me by my wife, son and
twin brother are not being received. This has been the case since my
contract and phone were bought last december.

I have done many resets (soft and hard), removed the battery, but the
problem remains.

Does anyone know what this could be down to?

I had this problem, but with a SIM free Treo 650 on Vodafone. Are the
texts not being received or being received but invisible?

In my case Vodafone were able to confirm that the SMS had been
delivered to my device, it was just that my Treo seemed to randomly
ignore some incoming SMS.

I found that a soft reset solved the problem, and it has not reoccurred
since.

My texts were simply not being received (and no alert/chime). However,
since I wrote the original post, Orange have solved it and all texts
are now being received. This has been demonstrated by my two main
contacts numbering the texts during the day.

No idea what Orange did to sort it out, and it may still be a Treo
problem, time will tell.
