I understand that the O2 XDA Mini S and the T-Mobile MDA Vario are the
same device - namely the HTC Wizard.

However, different web sites give quite different widths for this
    phone - either 58mm or around 80mm.

The XDA Mini S is 58mm wide according to:
    http://www.my-xda.com/xdaminis_spec.html

But the MDA Vario is 80mm wide according to:
    http://tinyurl.com/8g56q

Could two versions of the HTC Wizard differ this much? Is one of them
not actually an HTC Wizard? Is one of the measurements wrong? Or is
one measurement simply minimum width and the other one maximum width?

To put it another way, are they both the same width as the HTC
Magician (XDA Mini / MDA Compact / MDA Compact II / i-mate Jam / SPV
    m500 / Qtek S100 / Qtek S110) or about 2cm wider?

Looking at the Orange SPV M3000, the i-mate K-Jam and the Qtek 9100
(all of which are also apparently HTC Wizards) it again seems that
some sites claim around 58mm while other claim around 80mm.

The Orange SPV M3000 is 76mm wide according to:
    http://www.orange.com/english/multinational/4318.asp

The i-mate K-Jam is 58mm wide according to:
    http://www.imate.com/t-DETAILS_KJAM.aspx

The Qtek 9100 is 58mm wide according to:
    http://www.qtek.nu/europe/products/9...fications.aspx

    Anyone know the truth?

    Cheers,

    SB

Info is wrong on T-Mobile site. I have a T-Mobile MDA Vario and a rule
    - and it measures I'd say nearer 60mm across.

Thanks. Seem like a much more tempting option, then.

Whats the measurement with the keyboard slid open ? Just wondering if they
    are quoting different measurements...
