Hi,
I hope this isnt considered off topic. I apologise in advance if it is.
My orange contract is to be closed and another to be taken out in a week or
so. I really dont want to lose my current email address with orange. Can I
change the registered telephone number with orange email to my new number or
am i going to lose it? I rang OCS and they seam a little confused, as if
they dont deal with it very often!
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

I apologise if i'm being blind but where? I want to keep my email address
and have tried to use my orange PAYG phone number instead of my contract.
However it will not let me log on with the updated number.
Cheers for the reply though.

Go to: http://www.orange.co.uk/emailandorganise/
and sign in with your _old_ number and password.
Click on the "change your details" link and you should then be able to
change your number to the new one. After the confirmation process you
should be able to sign in with your new number.

What it means, I think, that as long as you have an active Orange number and
you change to it before the old one becomes inactive you should be OK. So,
you can change to PAYG number on a temporary basis and then change again to
your new contract number.
